random (food) foto friday.

It’s Friday, and I’m hungry. I had another post planned for today. One that was about how I should be the boss of my house. Okay, maybe half the time. Or maybe 9/10ths of the time. I’ll share that one with you later.

In the meantime, I can’t stop thinking about food today. It probably has something to do with the fact that our fridge has a whole 3 items in it. I haven’t been to the grocery store in who knows when. My laundry is piled to the heavens. We’re out of toilet paper. I need a body double.

Ben has been working late the past two weeks, and I’ve been hanging solo with the little ninja every evening. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: single moms, ya’ll are legit! I don’t know how you do it. Or even moms with multiple kids. Ya’ll are the real deal.

I don’t recall eating dinner any night this week. I hope I did. I may have eaten PB’s baby food. I’m not even sure anymore. Is this real life?

Anyway, in celebration of the fact that I might go to the grocery store this weekend, and I might cook a meal next week, and I might buy toilet paper today, I’m posting some of my flagged ‘must-try’ pinterest recipes. I totally think we should have a pinterest cooking challenge. Whaddya think?

White cheddar chicken pasta. Looks vaaaanderful. Source here.
Home-made calzones. Very versatile! Source here.
The “best” chocolate chip cookies. I’ve been seeing this recipe everywhere. I need to try it. Source here.
Broccoli, mac, and cheese. One of my favorite comfort foods. To the max. Source here.
Nacho casserole. Y to tha UM. Source here.
Summer vegetable bake. For all of my leftover garden veggies. Source here.
Blue velvet cake with blueberries and cream cheese frosting. I need a moment of silence. Source here.

My stomach is growling ferociously now.

If you notice a pattern of sugar, cheese, and pasta, don’t be alarmed. I only do what my heart tells me to do.

Don’t ferget to enter the fall wreath geeeeevaway. Deadline is Saturday night at 11:59:01 p.m. You could be the veiner!

Happy weekend 🙂
