christmas gift guide for girls.

HOW are we already talking Christmas? I swear, it seems to sneak up on us faster every year (though it probably doesn’t help that I usually put my tree up the day after Halloween 🙂

I shared a SUPER lofty (to me) goal on my social media accounts, and if you put it out for the world to see, then you gotta stick to it, right? My goal is to have ALL of my Christmas shopping done by December 1st this season! Yep. For me, that sounds near impossible, considering I’m usually out on December 23 picking through scraps. But, I want to ENJOY the season, and not worry about who I still need to buy for, and who is getting what. I want to spend December, Lord willing, hanging with the fam, doing Clark Griswold stuff, and sitting on the couch watching Home Alone for the 4726 time.

So I started by making lists for everyone that I buy for. And then I started digging around the net looking for fun and personal gifts for those on my list. And then, I thought it might be helpful to you, too, in getting your lists tackled, if I shared some of my favorite finds for my favorite people.

Today, I’m sharing a holiday gift guide for girls! I spent (way too much) time picking out things that either my daughter has, wants, or things I think she would like. My girl is 4, and it is such a fun age. She likes everything, but is really into pretend play right now (she loves playing teacher, cooker -as she calls it-, and anything that has to do with dress up). Here are some of my favorite picks:

  1. LeapFrog My Own Leaptop – We have one of these and Rhyan LOVES it! I’m actually pretty surprised at how into it she is. It has really helped her picking up on sounds and letters of the alphabet!
  2.  Pixie Crush Pretend Purse – I got this set through Instagram and I was really surprised at how well made it was. It had a cute purse, and a lot of realistic items in it, including pretend makeup, keys, phone, and jewelry.
  3. VTech Kidizoom Camera – This was another item that Rhyan already has and LOVES. I want to say she got this 2 years ago and still uses it. It takes actual pictures, and as we’ve discovered, it’s near indestructible.
  4. Mary Jane Dress Pumps – This was on my list for this year. Rhyan loves high-heels and she always wants the character themed shoes. That’s great to play in around the house, but she usually wants to wear them to church, too! This year, I’m opting for something that serves a dual purpose.
  5. Melissa and Doug School Time – I had something very similar when I was growing up and I tell ya’ll, I can still remember everything about it. It was one of my MOST FAVORITE toys ever. Rhyan is playing school right now like a mad woman, so I’m so excited to see how she likes this!
  6. KidKraft Retro Pink Kitchen – We bought this for Rhyan on her 1st birthday, and she still plays with this regularly. It has held up really well. I loved the design of it, and loved the fact that it was reasonably priced, too!
  7. VTech Kidi Star Karaoke Machine – This one may be on my list for her this year. We had a really cheap machine a few years ago and they loved it. This one is a bit more expensive, but also has great reviews.
  8. Our Generation Bunk Bed – I love this brand of dolls (along with the Walmart Brand, too). This bunk bed would fit either brand and looks well made (good ratings, too!)
  9. Our Generation Regular Doll – I think these dolls have the cutest clothes with them. Seriously, I’d wear some of their outfits myself. Bonus: she would fit in the bunkbed!
  10. Engraved Heart Locket – Rhyan loves jewelry and, as of late, has been wanting to wear my necklaces. So I got her this engraved locket. I remember getting a locket necklace when I was little and I thought I was SO cool! I ordered mine from Zulily, but this is the exact one I ordered.

I hope this is helpful for you! Hopefully, I’ll be back to share more gift picks for the rest of the family, too!
