I’m convinced my kids don’t eat during the school year. There’s no way. I’m certain they wait until summer time, and try to fit an entire year’s worth of eating in to two months. Actually, I know that’s what they are doing.
My kids are eating me out of house and home this summer. And they are still little! I can’t imagine what this will look like in a few years.
Along with trying to shop smarter at the grocery store this summer (I use Aldi for lots of our snacking food, and try and cook larger portions for lunch leftovers), we’ve been trying to eat out smarter, too. Kids meals are starting to add up, and we can easily drop $30+ at a quick dine restaurant. Taking advantage of the kids’ discounts at restaurants have certainly helped!
So I’ve been working on compiling a list of kid-friendly restaurants that offer discounts for kids in the local Tri-Cities TN/VA area. I obviously may have missed some or may have gotten some of my info incorrect (though I did try to verify each one), so it’s a good idea to double check before you make plans 🙂 Hope this helps you!
