One of the things I LOVE about Senegence is how involved distributors are in company operations. Last year, they announced a contest for all distributors to submit a 30 second video advertising their premier product, LipSense.
Since my background is in marketing/PR/advertising, this sort of thing is a fun challenge for me. I had planned on hiring a videographer to shoot our adoption (WHEN we made it to that point), so I asked him if he could do a promo video for my business, too!
Anthony Keys of LionCat Media was SUCH a pleasure to work with. While I did show the product in my video, my main focus was to show WHY I love the product. And for me, its that the products work for my lifestyle. Being a busy, working mama, my makeup is usually the last thing on my mind after I slap it on in the mornings. I love the longevity. And I love that I don’t pay attention to it again until I wipe it off.
SOOOOOOO….really long story short, we submitted our video and WE WON!!!!!
We made quick plans, packed up the kiddos, and headed to New York City to see our family on a billboard in the middle of Times Square. It was such a cool experience for my kids to see. And we had a great time, albeit I’m quite sure I’m happy living in the country.
But, it was super fun to visit the City for the first time. We made the most of our trip, running around like crazy people for the few days we were there. We did manage to cross a few things off of our bucket list (hello ice-skating in Central Park), and we ate like CRAZY. The food was incredible! And the most surprising part of the trip? New Yorkers were SO friendly! I think you hear stories of how they are rude and get irritated with tourists, but they were SO helpful and we met some really nice people. Thank you New York, and thank you Senegence!
